In the beginning of April, the charity exhibition «100 motanka dolls for Peace» was held in the city of Hiroshima, which is known for the fact that nuclear weapons were used there for the first time in the world with terrible consequences.

Ms. Anna Inoue, leader of the “100 Motankas for Peace” project, accompanied by with some Motanka’s, visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park (Hiroshima Heiwa Kinen Kōen), which was created to symbolize the need for eternal peace. Below is a message from Hiroshima from Ms. Anna:

“Dear Ukrainian Masters!
Your Motanka`s visited a place that was once razed to the ground so that some said flowers
would never grow again in Hiroshima.
As you can see from the photos they are not only growing but the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
Hold on to the hope that you will rise above the present atrocities and build a future filled with peace, freedom and prosperity like Hiroshima city did. From surviving to thriving.
We ordinary people in Japan are with you!
FREEDOM for Ukraine!
NO to oppression!”
