Thanks to great efforts of incredible Ms. Anna Inoue, leader of Aitsugi Charity Project visitors could enjoy new Charity exhibitions & Motanka workshops, which was held on 27 – 29 July, 2024 and 18 – 20 August, 2024 in AiTsugi Space, Kitakamakura, Japan.
This summer, Kitakamakura hosted 2 Charity Exhibitions “100 Motankas for Peace”, a heartfelt cultural events that brought together Japanese and Ukrainian traditions.
These events featured:
✨ Charity exhibitions showcasing traditional Ukrainian Motanka dolls, which have long served as symbols of protection and heritage.
✨ Motanka Workshops, where participants had the unique opportunity to create their own Motanka dolls, guided by experienced instructors. The workshop provided insight into the deep cultural significance of these handmade dolls while allowing attendees to craft a personal keepsake infused with their wishes and intentions.
The exhibition and workshop were a beautiful celebration of cultural exchange and solidarity, offering visitors a deeper understanding of Ukraine’s rich artistic traditions while supporting Ukrainian children affected by war.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these events a success!
