The 10th exhibition of the “100 Motankas for Peace” project in Japan has just finished. This is final exhibition in this series of charity exhibitions around Japan, which lasted more than a year.
Displayed at a beautiful Shinto shrine temple, the banner of this milestone exhibition featured a motanka crafted by young motanka-master Margarita Petrenko from the resilient city of Kharkiv. This particular motanka was inspired by the delicate bloom of sakura, which coincided with our exhibition in Hiroshima.
Last “100 Motankas for Peace” highlighted the deep stories behind motanka dolls, handcrafted with hope, resilience, and remembrance. Each motanka carries a unique narrative, reflecting the personal experiences and emotions of those who create them. The exhibition’s theme, “Healing Together Through Art. From Heart to Heart,” embodies the spirit of solidarity and support that drives this project.
Exhibition Details: 📅 October 24 – October 28, 2024

Beyond cultural diplomacy, the exhibition also serves as a charitable initiative to support Ukrainian children affected by the war. Donations are collected to aid young victims of Russian aggression, providing them with resources and support for emotional recovery.
Through art, we stand together. Through culture, we heal.
