Even in darkness, the brightest souls shine the most. This Christmas, we helped to organize art-therapy master-class for children, suffered from war, which located now in Sakhnovshchyna community, Kharkiv region. Pupils of the Sakhnovshchyna Children’s Music School and children from families, suffered from war, celebrated together this Christmas by bringing the magic of creativity to life.
As part of the “Art Heals” project, our creative workshop became possible by the joint efforts of volunteers from Ukraine and Japan: Aitsugi Charity Project under the leadership of Ms. Anna Inoue from Japan and Ukrainian co-organizer Marina Antonyuk with a great help of by Ruslana Korinna, head of the Charitable Foundation “Hearts of the Unbreakable”, highly -dedicated volunteer from Sakhnovshchyna community.
These volunteers arranged the event transformed a simple gathering into a heartwarming celebration of resilience, support and joy.
Despite the absence of electricity (due to recent Russian bombings), the workshop’s atmosphere became even more magical with candlelight and festive garlands illuminated the cozy space, adding a sense of enchantment and wonder. The children eagerly shaped and decorated their unique Christmas cups, pouring their imagination and skill into each piece. More than just a craft, the workshop nurtured teamwork, kindness, and the ability to support one another.
Every child took home a handmade, one-of-a-kind cup filled with emotions of joy and warmth, a special keepsake of this unforgettable Christmas.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event possible and personally to Ruslana Korinna, Tatiana Hertseva, Nataliya Yasinok and all other, who contributed to creating a truly special and cozy celebration. Our Christmas and New Year’s marathon continues, bringing even more joy and festive magic to children.
Despite all challenges, we continue to create holiday miracles together! 💙🎄💛
