What could be cozier than a cup of hot cacao in winter times? Only a cup that you have created with your own hands.

The children from the “Center of Hope and Recovery” in “Save Ukraine” shelter in Gatne, Kyiv region, had the opportunity to experience this warmth firsthand during a special art-therapy master class on making polymer clay cups. This event became a space of self-expression, emotional relief and creative joy for the young participants.

Guided by the skilled hands of art-therapist Ms.Olena Supruzhynska, the children shaped, molded, and decorated their unique cups, each one a reflection of their personality and emotions. The process of sculpting not only engaged them in an absorbing artistic endeavor, but also provided a soothing escape from their daily worries. Art therapy, known for its calming and healing effects, offered them a sense of security and confidence in their abilities.

At the end of the session, every child held in their hands not just a cup, but a personal creation filled with memories of a bright and heartwarming day. Now, each sip of from this mug will carry the essence of this creative experience, as a reminder of warmth of this event.

A heartfelt thank you to the “Save Ukraine” and personally to Ms.Olena Sopruzhynska, who constantly making art-therapy projects in Gatne shelter for rehabilitation of the children, suffered from the war.

Master-classes arranged within charity initiative “Healing together through Art” by Anna Inoue, leader of Aitsugi Charity Project and Ukrainian co-organizer Marina Antonyuk. We highly appreciate all Japanese people, who donated for these art-therapy activities during charity exhibitions “100 Motanka dolls for Peace” in Japan.
